CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Feb. 27, 2007--ViaCell, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIAC) today reported financial results for the fourth quarter and twelve months ending December 31, 2006. Fourth quarter 2006 financial highlights are:

Sales of the ViaCord(R) product offering for the preservation and storage of umbilical cord blood were $14.4 million, representing a 30% increase over the fourth quarter of 2005; Operating expenses were $19.5 million; Net loss was $4.6 million, or $0.12 per share; Cash, cash equivalents and investments amounted to $51.2 million at year-end.
