ViaCord’s Official Sweepstakes Rules & Regulations
I. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by completing the form above between 12:00 a.m. ET on 6/1/10 and 11:59 p.m. on 7/31/10 LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. No entries other than through this website will be allowed (i.e. faxed or mailed entries will not be allowed). Partially completed entries will not be accepted. ViaCord is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error that may occur in the receipt or processing of entry forms. All entries become the property of ViaCord.
II. ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States (except for residents of Rhode Island), who have Internet access with a valid email address, mailing address, zip code, telephone number, and are 18 years of age or over on January 1, 2010. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
III. PRIZE
One Winner will be selected to receive the following cord blood banking services, for a single birth, from ViaCord free of charge: processing, shipping by private courier and first year storage (approximate total value of $2,250). The Winner is responsible for all storage and other fees and costs related to the banking of their baby’s cord blood that are not specifically set forth in the prior sentence. These include, without limitation, the responsibility for paying $125 per year to cover annual storage fees after the first year of storage, any fees related to the release of the cord blood unit for transplant, and any fees related to the delivery or collection of the cord blood unit imposed by third parties. All federal, state and local taxes related to receiving the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries ViaCord receives. ViaCord will not award any alternative prize, cash equivalent, or any other substitution of the Prize if, for any reason, the cord blood collection, processing or storage cannot take place. The Prize is non-transferable.
IV. WINNER
The Winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entries, to be held on or about 8/5/10. The Winner will be notified by telephone on or about 8/15/10. Return of any Prize/Prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate Winner will be selected. All decisions by ViaCord are final and binding. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and the decision of ViaCord. The Winner may be required to sign and return a release of liability, affidavit or declaration of eligibility. Where lawful, the Winner will be required to sign a publicity consent agreement allowing ViaCord to use the Winner’s name in promotional and marketing materials.
