After the Cord Blood Collection

After the cord blood has been collected, call ViaCord again to review the packaging and labeling of the contents of your kit. We’ll then arrange for a private courier to pick up the kit from your hospital room.

The faster your baby's cord blood gets to our lab, the higher the yield of usable stem cells we're able to process. This is why we use only private couriers who specialize in handling biopharmaceutical materials — we wouldn't risk your baby's cord blood, or our reputation, with anything else. We’ll transport your baby’s cord blood to the ViaCord Processing Laboratory any day of the week, weekend, or holiday.

You’ll be notified by phone once your baby's cord blood arrives at our facility.
